Washington, D.C. — As the U.S. Supreme Court considers the legality of the Trump administration’s termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) initiative, the Center for American Progress and Cities for Action are hosting a press call on Thursday, November 7, to underscore what is at stake for cities and communities nationwide.

DACA has had a positive impact on recipients, their families, their communities, and their local economies. Ending DACA would put hundreds of thousands of families across the country at risk, including the 256,000 U.S.-born children who have at least one parent who is a DACA recipient.
City leaders and DACA recipients from Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Dodge City, Kansas, will join the press call to discuss the implications of the Supreme Court case.
